Permanent Eyebrow Makeup
Permanent eyebrow makeup is an increasingly common procedure that is gaining a slew of female followers. If you own light and sparse eyebrows, you can certainly go for it. Permanent eyebrows is a method that will allow you to increase your confidence and love your reflection in the mirror.
WHAT DOES THE PROCEDURE LOOK LIKE?
Permanent makeup involves the introduction of pigment into the epidermis so that it remains there and is visible on the surface of the skin ( it resembles) a tattoo on the body, but is shallower, making the pigmentation procedure not as painful). This treatment guarantees long-lasting makeup, which lasts from 6 months up to several years, so it is important that it is done carefully and precisely.
DOES PERMANENT MAKEUP HURT?
The issue of pain is very individual. It also depends on the technique with which makeup is applied, age, skin condition and many other factors. The meeting begins with an interview, during which I ask about all the details of health and expectations of the end result. I present examples of work, different types of permanent makeup, talk about the stages of the procedure and allay any fears.
Of course, I often use a very effective local anesthetic to avoid unnecessary discomfort that may or may not occur during the procedure.
PERMANENT EYEBROWS - WHICH METHOD TO CHOOSE?
PERMANENT EYEBROWS - OMBRE
PERMANENT EYEBROWS - POWDER METHOD
This is a method that involves the introduction of pigment just below the surface of the epidermis. This is a pigmentation method that does not create color gradation, but allows for a light and delicate effect.
How LONG do PERMANENT eyebrows take to heal?
Eyebrows take about 7 days to heal. While your eyebrows are healing, you should not expose your face to UV radiation, so avoid tanning beds and sunbathing. Also, do not scrape off any scabs that may appear, as you risk ugly-looking scars. In addition, in this way we can lead to infection. During the eyebrow healing period, we should avoid saunas, swimming pools or hot tubs – the microorganisms present there can also contribute to infection. The linergist will tell us which preparations can destroy the color of the eyebrows after permanent makeup. If possible, avoid antibiotics in ointments – they will adversely affect pigmentation. Also, after the procedure, do not sleep on your stomach – or rather, “on your eyebrows,” as it is unfavorable to rub your eyebrows on the pillow. It is also forbidden to apply additional makeup – powdering the eyebrows, correcting their contour with pencil or pomade. Physical activity that causes facial sweating is not advisable.
HOW TO CARE FOR EYEBROWS AFTER PERMANENT MAKEUP?
- 24 hours before and after applying makeup, do not consume alcohol or preparations containing acetylsalicylic acid.
- up to 4 days after the procedure there may be swelling and irritation, and makeup may appear too intense
- ca. 30-40 days after the procedure, the pigment becomes fixed in the epidermis and only then the pigment acquires the proper color (during this time a follow-up visit and makeup correction is recommended)
- 1-2 times after the treatment, the skin should be cleansed with saline (2-4h after the treatment) only on the treatment day
- 2-5 days after the procedure, the pigmented skin must not come into contact with water and soap, should be dry
- after the formation of a scab after treatment, do not scratch and remove it
- after the treatment it is not allowed to use the solarium, sauna and swimming pool for 10 days
- For a minimum of one month after the treatment you should use SPF50 cream
- after the healing process is complete, that is, 10 days after the procedure, do not apply eyebrow makeup
- do not sunbathe and wear a baseball cap in the sun
Performing permanent eyebrow makeup correction is not mandatory in every case. However, it is almost always recommended in order to refine, improve or make any corrections. That’s why it’s best to consult with the most competent person, namely the linergist where the procedure was performed. After a reasonable period of time, it will indicate whether a correction is necessary. However, it is important to keep in mind that each client has a different skin type and therefore a different reaction to healing. The linergist is also not always able to perfectly and evenly insert the pigment under the skin, which is why correction is so important, during which any gaps are filled in.
Permanent makeup, thanks to local anesthesia, is completely painless. However, it still involves direct interference with the skin. Inherent in the process are minor irritations, during which the epidermis needs time to regenerate. This is a completely natural part of the whole process and should not be feared. These changes will not be so visible that you have to hide from the world.
Nevertheless, you should wait until your skin has breathed, rebuilt and is ready for the next beautification before scheduling another visit. Wait 30 days for the epidermis around the eyebrows to heal completely. Therefore, it is best to have the permanent makeup corrected within a maximum of 60 days from the date of the first treatment with the linergist.
Permanent makeup is a comfortable solution that guarantees a long-lasting effect, but it requires taking the right steps. Keep in mind that this method makes visible and long-lasting changes to the skin, so it is important to think carefully and consciously about the look you want to achieve. And that’s exactly what retouching is for! Permanent makeup is a process in which a satisfactory result is gradually achieved. Note that after the first treatment, 40 to 70% of the color remains on the skin. During retouching, you can, if you wish, cool it down or warm it up. This is a convenient and safe solution that will save you from unpleasant disappointments.
Permanent eyebrows maintain their shape and color for about 2 years, but expect to have to replenish the pigment at at least one corrective visit. It is also worth remembering that the durability of makeup depends not only on the technique and ingredients used, but also on individual predispositions and skin care. The dye may fade faster, for example, in people who use tanning beds frequently or base their skin care on products with exfoliating properties.
Do you often ask questions about why eyebrows are red, orange, gray or blue?
It is very important to choose the right pigments as well as the execution technique itself and many other minor factors such as your complexion.
How to check if the pigments are really good ? It is certainly not an easy task, and this differentiates professionals from amateurs. I have invested a lot of time and money my education with the best trainers because of this I can use their knowledge and not make mistakes on my own clients!
Doubts about whether it is safe deter many men and women from using permanent makeup treatment. The procedure is widely regarded as safe. It carries similar risks as getting a tattoo. The most serious infections can occur through improperly disinfected tools and equipment. Therefore, when deciding on a permanent makeup procedure, it is best to use the services of a competent, qualified and certified specialist.
According to the dictionary, the word “permanent” means “permanent, uninterrupted, continuous.” So most people may think that once permanent makeup is done, it will be visible forever, just like a tattoo. However, this is not true!
It is very durable compared to traditional makeup. The effects of well-executed permanent makeup last about a dozen months, after which time they fade and completely disappear.
